Paint Chip Mosaics:
Art 1
(This is a daily lesson example)
Students continued to discuss the process of mosaics as they began creating their tesserae using paint chips. Students used a simple design that was created in a previous class to create their mosaic. During the lesson, students learned two different techniques on creating tesserae: using organic shapes and the traditional tiled method. They continued talking about the three color schemes: analogous, triad, and split-complimentary as they created their mosaic.
